Roger deBeus, PhD

Dr. Roger deBeus obtained his doctorate in Health Psychology & Behavioral Medicine from the University of North Texas. During his graduate studies he obtained specialized training in assessment, family therapy, biofeedback, neurofeedback, and brain mapping (quantitative EEG; QEEG). Dr. deBeus has presented internationally and published on his research with neurofeedback and quantitative EEG with ADHD children, depression, adolescent trauma, and adult substance abuse. He conducted the first double-blind placebo-controlled neurofeedback study with ADHD children. Dr. deBeus is a Board Certified Neurofeedback Fellow of the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. Dr. deBeus is a Consulting Editor for the Journal of Neurotherapy and EEG & Clinical Neuroscience journals, and Associate Editor of QEEG and Neurofeedback for the Biofeedback journal. He has held Assistant Professor positions at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Eastern Tennessee State University. Dr. deBeus served as Past-President, Conference Chair, and selected as a Fellow of the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR). He is currently a member of the ISNR Research Foundation Board.
Dr. deBeus is a Licensed Psychologist in North Carolina and Virginia. He has been practicing for over 20 years, working with children, adolescents, couples, and families ranging in ages from 6 – 90 years old. His services include psychological assessments, psychotherapy, neurofeedback, and brain mapping (QEEG). Dr. deBeus also provides Functional QEEG report and analyses services to neurofeedback clinicians around the world.
